About The Program

The Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary Awards is an initiative established by the Ondo State Government to foster educational development and support students of Ondo State origin in their academic pursuits. The Ondo State Scholarship Board was set up on April 26, 2000, as one of the key interventionist agencies of the State Government in the Education Sector.

This program aims to empower students across all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, providing them with the financial support needed to excel in their studies. The scheme comprises three categories: Scholarship Awards, Bursary Awards, and Special Financial Assistance.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

Scholarship Award: ₦100,000 cash prize for eligible students
Bursary Award: ₦10,000 cash grant to support student expenses
Financial Assistance: ₦50,000 yearly for:
- Physically challenged students (Ondo State indigenes)
- Law School students
- Medical students undergoing clinical training

Universities (Federal, State & Private)
Polytechnics
Monotechnics
Colleges of Education
Schools of Nursing/Midwifery
Colleges of Health Technology

Eligibility Criteria

For Scholarship Awards:

Must be of Ondo State origin
Enrolled in 2nd year and above in course of study
Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale OR 4.0 on a 5.0 scale (Universities)
Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Polytechnics)

For Bursary Awards:

Must be of Ondo State origin
Enrolled in any recognized tertiary institution across Nigeria

For Financial Assistance:

Ondo State students in Nigerian Law Schools
Medical students undergoing clinical training
Physically challenged students in tertiary institutions (regardless of grades)

Valid student ID card
Academic transcript/result showing CGPA
Admission letter
Certificate of origin (Ondo State)
O’Level result (WAEC/NECO)
Other relevant documents as specified on portal
